HiCon V-Type 3G Nordson's upgraded power backflush screen changer features two pairs of screen cavities positioned over pistons, which remove contaminant buildup through backflushing. While one of the cavities is changed, the other three continue filtering. The screen changer is suitable for almost all materials and processes, including the recycling of PET, strapping, film and fiber.
What's new? The machine's upgraded design, which is more compact than the earlier V-Type system. It is also more automated, using preset parameters rather than operator intervention to initiate backflushing operations.
Benefits Greater efficiency, compared to Nordson's earlier model. The new model has a 30 percent shorter backflush cycle than its predecessor, and can perform as many as 200 backflushing cycles before operators have to change the screens. Its continuous operation reduces downtime in extrusion, pelletizing and recycling operations.
