These rotary, linear and direct-drive servo motors and amplifiers are for automation that requires precise positioning

Sigma-7 This new generation of rotary, linear and direct-drive servo motors and amplifiers from Yaskawa is appropriate for a wide variety of plastics industry automation applications that require precise positioning. The Sigma-7 product line consists of rotary servo motors with outputs of 3 watts to 55 kilowatts, direct-drive motors with outputs up to 600 newton meters of torque and linear motors and slides that deliver up to 2,000 newtons of force. The motors have network compatibility because of built-in Mechatrolink-III, EtherCAT and analog interfaces.

What's new? Increased bandwidth, a 20 percent smaller footprint and dual-axis amplifiers that mount in smaller spaces. Also, new thermal sensors directly monitor machine temperature.

Benefits Improved performance, simplified maintenance and easier application. With nearly double the servo bandwidth of prior Yaskawa products, the Sigma-7 line increases machine speed and accuracy. The simplified design makes maintenance easier while also extending motor life. The motors' automatic servo tuning and software make commissioning faster and easier.
