This Mettler-Toledo device uses advanced halogen technology to provide precise information on moisture content.

HX204 This Mettler-Toledo device uses advanced halogen technology to provide precise information about the moisture content of a variety of materials. Within the plastics industry, it can be used in the lab to ascertain the moisture content of resin before a batch is loaded into an injection molding machine.

What's new? The device has been on the market for about two years,  but has only recently been marketed to plastics processors.

Benefits Reduced waste, and testing that is cost-effective, quick and easy. The device is more precise than other methods currently in use, meaning operators can be sure resin is neither too dry nor too moist when it is processed. This prevents the production of bad parts. The company says HX204 users can achieve payback on their investment within six weeks.
