Dry vibrating magnetic filters (DVMF) Used to remove iron-bearing contaminants from dry powdered and pulverized material, these units from Eriez use vibrating filter elements to provide high-capacity material flow. The standard design generates a magnetic field of 2,000 gauss, while the high-intensity model generates a magnetic field of 5,000 gauss. Four filter sizes meet different capacity requirements.

What's new? Use in the plastics industry. Eriez's DVMF products have long been used in the food, paper and ceramics industries to remove impurities from granular products such as sugar and glass. The company is now marketing the products for use with fillers for plastics.

Benefits Extremely high purity of the filtered product. The high-intensity field generated by the electromagnet provides peak separation efficiency for removal of fine ferrous contamination.
