RPC  This Rigid Plastic Container inspection system from Mettler-Toledo CI-Vision detects bottle defects, including material inclusions and malformations of the shoulder, thread, base or body. Multiple cameras perform different inspections simultaneously, while telecentric lenses improve the accuracy of neck thread measurements.

What's new?  Additional software features. Automatic masking of the outer perimeter of a bottle prevents the outer edges from causing a false reject of a product. Real-time feedback ensures that when changes are made to the processing tool, results are visible immediately.

Benefits  Fast changeovers. Converting from a 25-ounce bottle to a 250-ounce bottle, for example, involves only five touches to the human-machine-interface screen to make a selection from the parts library. The system automatically adjusts conveyors, cameras and lights to the correct positions for the new container.
