RheoSense e-VROC measures elongational viscosity

e-VROC  This RheoSense Inc. viscometer measures shear and extensional, or elongational, viscosities simultaneously in plastics applications such as blow molding.

What's new?  The capability of measuring extensional viscosity at high extensional rates from a small sample within a minute.

Benefits  Understanding flow characteristics/thickening of the polymer solution in relation to the process, to help eliminate extensional deformation or shearing.  The e-VROC gives accuracy within 2 percent of the reading, with repeatability up to 0.05 percent.
