Multi-Channel strain gauges RJG’s portfolio of sensors includes 6mm versions that, working in conjunction with the company’s eDart system, help molders spot bad parts and diagnose problems. Users of products in the line can connect as many as eight sensors to one point in the mold.
What’s new? A model rated for up to 250 pounds of force for use with pins measuring up to 0.25 inch in diameter. It joins RJG’s other 6mm sensor, which is rated for 50 pounds of force and works with pins that have maximum diameters of 0.125 inch. Designed to fill the same space as a 6mm 9211 piezo sensor, the new device is ideal for high- cavitation molds that have small, tightly packed ejector pins.
Benefits Flexibility and cost-effectiveness. Unlike piezo sensors, which are more expensive, the new cavity-pressure sensor can be bent and folded without being damaged.
