CS/MS CUMSA’s newest range of slides so far includes units in six standard sizes that can accommodate a range of different strokes.
What’s new? The new slides, which each have a turcite sliding base with a magnetic hold. Each slide incorporates a retainer that keeps it in the correct position during the ejection process.
Benefits Design simplicity and ease of installation. The slides have been optimized to make maintenance easy, requiring only one screw on the core side of the mold and two on the cavity side. Without the need for guide pins, retainers or large bases, the new slides are much more compact than traditional slides. The turcite used in the slides’ design requires no lubrication, guaranteeing durability and making the slides appropriate for use in molds in clean rooms, or in the production of parts for the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Also, according to CUMSA, the slides can be machined quickly and don’t require exact precision, reducing machining time by up to 30 percent, compared with traditional slides. In all, the company says users of the slides can realize a savings of 50 percent over other slides.
