UltraMelt Husky’s hot-runner system is designed to help users produce small parts with materials, such as PC, that are particularly sensitive to temperature and chemical reactions, or that are corrosive to metals, like PVC, and resins that have brominated or halogenated flame retardants. It is ideal for handling bioresins such as polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) and polylactic acid (PLA) and molding small technical or medical parts. It is available with a variety of gate methods, nozzle sizes and actuation styles for both low and high mold cavitations.
What's new? Optimization for difficult-to-mold materials. To handle materials like PC, PVC, PHA and PLA, all UltraMelt components are designed for optimal temperature control, and components contacting molten resin are made of stainless steel and nonreactive.
