Heidenhain's TNC7 offers intuitive operations, fillable forms and virtual simulation of machined part and work envelope.

TNC7 Heidenhain’s latest CNC machine control lets users adapt their screen content to match their preferences depending on the machining tasks or work environments they are facing. It has a 24-inch full high-definition touchscreen monitor and a keyboard with improved mechanical design and key resistance. The control offers training videos and a virtual simulation of the machined part and work envelope. It will be available as an upgrade to existing machining centers and some manufacturers of machining centers will offer it with their systems.

What’s new? The TNC7, which will debut in September at IMTS 2022, and is expected to be available in the fourth quarter. User interaction has been totally redesigned. The control’s Dynamic Collision Monitoring allows for the import and monitoring of workholding equipment with graphical support via 3D file formats.

Benefits Easy, intuitive operation. Heidenhain’s familiar Klartext programming has been enhanced with smart functions and newly developed graphical programming for the TNC7. Users can draw contours directly on the touchscreen and have them converted into dialogue-guided TNC Klartext programming code. Fillable forms and dialogue guidance improve operating convenience and navigation.
