uCAMS PTi’s die-splitting cart facilitates cleaning, maintenance and assembly of sheet extrusion dies. Designated uCAMS, an abbreviation for “universal cleaning assembly and maintenance system,” the cart is available in three configurations to accommodate single-, dual- or triple-manifold dies. It features heavy-duty construction and casters for mobility.
What’s new? The cart, and its ability to handle die widths ranging from 3.3 feet to 6.6 feet via integrated, adjustable trunnion supports. This eliminates the need for multiple, width-specific carts or trunnions. Also, the cart is equipped with a hand-wheel mechanism that allows one person to perform the die-splitting procedure. By rotating the wheel, the die is quickly separated into its respective components, which can then be turned 360 degrees for easy access to all surfaces. An onboard toolbox keeps needed tools at hand.
