The American Mold Builders Association (AMBA) named Wepco Plastics Inc. of Middlefield, Conn., its Tooling Trailblazer of the Year honoree at the AMBA Conference 2021.
Wepco was honored for its workforce development efforts, including volunteering on local manufacturing group boards, founding pre-apprenticeship programs in local schools and exposing young people to STEAM-related career paths.
The award, sponsored by Progressive Components, includes a $5,000 endowment for continuing education in mold building, to be presented to the educational institution of the recipient’s choice.
