The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) has made several new hires and promotions in its executive leadership team, effective Jan. 1, 2025.
Chris Rager is the new VP of government affairs. He served as the head of state government affairs for the American Petroleum Institute, managing eight regional offices and nearly 50 staff members and consultants. He brings more than 20 years of experience in government relations to PLASTICS, where he will work on behalf of advocacy and policy efforts at all levels of government.
Angela Mealy joins PLASTICS as executive director of NPE: The Plastics Show, overseeing the strategy, operations, budget, project management and overall success of NPE2027. She was previously senior director of event services at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, where she directed three major trade shows.
The following staffers have been promoted: Ashley Hood-Morley, senior VP, industry engagement; Patrick Krieger, senior VP, sustainability and policy; Stephanie Strategos Polis, VP, public affairs; Apryl Alexander-Savino, VP, events and marketing; and Mónica Mancilla Cooke, VP, human resources.
