After years of anticipation and preparation, NPE2024 — produced by the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) — was one for the history books. The return of the premier plastics trade show in the Americas, after a six-year hiatus, was attended by exhibitors, attendees and presenters from across the plastics supply chain and beyond.
- 63 percent of attendees were experiencing their very first NPE.
- 30 percent of attendees were under the age of 40.
- 15,000+ international registrants marked the most international show in NPE history.
- Representatives of 133 countries registered to attend — a 9.9 percent increase over NPE2018.
First-timers and NPE veterans alike enjoyed an NPE experience like none before. The enthusiasm of attendees was underscored by lively gatherings such as the first-ever opening night party, and sold-out events like the FLiP & Sip Reception (more than 1,000 attendees) and the Women in Plastics Breakfast (nearly 600 attendees). A robust agenda of expert content and informative panel discussions added plenty of value as attendees enjoyed those opportunities in addition to time spent on the show floor.

Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) is an industry-led program that supports companies in their goal towards achieving zero plastic resin loss in their operations. Founded by PLASTICS in 1991, it is today managed in partnership with the American Chemistry Council's Plastics Division.
