PLASTICS: Engagement opportunities follow a successful NPE2024

June 19, 2024
PLASTICS offers events throughout the year to bring together the entire supply chain.

After years of anticipation and preparation, NPE2024 — produced by the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) — was one for the history books. The return of the premier plastics trade show in the Americas, after a six-year hiatus, was attended by exhibitors, attendees and presenters from across the plastics supply chain and beyond.

Over 50,000 registrants signed up for the show. While NPE anticipated a robust audience, the makeup of NPE2024’s audience brought new and welcome realizations about the value and future of the show:
  • 63 percent of attendees were experiencing their very first NPE.
  • 30 percent of attendees were under the age of 40.
  • 15,000+ international registrants marked the most international show in NPE history.
  • Representatives of 133 countries registered to attend — a 9.9 percent increase over NPE2018.

First-timers and NPE veterans alike enjoyed an NPE experience like none before. The enthusiasm of attendees was underscored by lively gatherings such as the first-ever opening night party, and sold-out events like the FLiP & Sip Reception (more than 1,000 attendees) and the Women in Plastics Breakfast (nearly 600 attendees). A robust agenda of expert content and informative panel discussions added plenty of value as attendees enjoyed those opportunities in addition to time spent on the show floor.

Following the great success of NPE2024, PLASTICS continues to offer a variety of sought-after events and opportunities through 2024 and beyond for industry networking, learning and engagement with colleagues.

OCS CON: Sept. 10-12, Houston

Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) is an industry-led program that supports companies in their goal towards achieving zero plastic resin loss in their operations. Thousands of companies worldwide have dedicated themselves to OCS goals, and this year many will attend the first conference dedicated solely to OCS.

OCS CON is an unprecedented event that will bring the full plastics value chain together in efforts towards eliminating the loss of plastic to the environment. It will incubate and amplify solutions to resin loss, ranging from introductions to groundbreaking technology to comprehensive culture change strategies. In addition to diverse panels, master classes and tours, OCS CON will unlock opportunities to collaborate with industry partners and experts to keep plastic within the circular economy and out of the environment.
