LSP Beckwood Press’ new patent-pending line — also known as the Linear Servo Press line — is well-suited for compression molding applications. It combines the flexibility offered by hydraulic presses with the performance that servo-mechanical presses provide.
What’s new? The LSP line, which has an all-electric actuation system.
Benefits Outstanding accuracy and efficiency. The fully electric LSPs only use energy on demand, greatly reducing energy consumption. Because they are designed with up to 70 percent fewer components than servo-mechanical presses and hydraulic presses, they are simpler to set up, maintain and troubleshoot – and can run for millions of cycles before maintenance is required. The programming infrastructure offers full control of speeds, pressures and positions, as well as strict part traceability. It also monitors key components to ensure press health and part quality. The LSPs can be outfitted with heated platens for compression molding applications, and because no hydraulic or lubrication oils are used, the risk of leaks and part contamination is eliminated. They offer the largest-tonnage capacity of any linear servo press available, ranging from 125 to 500 tons.
