LBR iisy With a payload of 6.6 pounds, a maximum reach of 1.9 feet and overall weight of 41.4 pounds, this Kuka cobot is the first to use the company’s next-generation iiQKA.OS operating system. The company says the operating system makes it easy for users with any level of experience to operate the cobot, which is easily integrated into confined production workspaces.
What’s new? The LBR iisy cobot.
Benefits Simple programming. Using the input device on the robot arm, operators can hand-guide the LBR iisy through set-up and programming steps, which the company says can be performed in a matter of minutes, from unpacking to beginning productive work. The cobot is easily adapted to a wide range of tasks. Each of its six axes has an integrated high-grade, joint-torque sensor. The sensors detect any external forces, so the cobot can operate around human workers without the need for safety fences. Using the Kuka Connect cloud solution, users can access downloadable software apps and analyze cobot data at any time.
