Indevco Plastics has begun operations at its new 100,000 square-foot greenfield plant in Orangeburg, S.C. Construction on the flexible packaging facility began in 2021, and it contains space for offices, manufacturing, warehousing, and laboratory functions.
The company has invested $25 million in the first phase, and expects to generate 50 jobs at the site.
It will manufacture polyethylene converting films, as well as form-fill-seal and stretch hood films. It will also expand the company’s portfolio of recycled industrial films with sustainable multi-layer PE films.
“Sustainable films are our growth focus,” says Scott Sirmans, divisional sales director for Indevco Plastics. “We are aligning our supply chain to ensure we can deliver recycled and recyclable films to help customers reduce their environmental impacts, while meeting their product performance requirements.”
Indevco Plastics is a member of Indevco North America Plastics Division, which is headquartered in Doswell, Va.
