Dismayed by the bulk of materials such as carpet and chipboard that are routinely sent to landfills after trade shows leave a venue, Multivac Group President Christian Traumann announced that from now on, his company is doing things differently at trade shows.
Traumann said his company is pursuing a carbon-neutral approach, and will use carpets and booth walls that are 100 percent recyclable. Other components, such as solid glass screens and a robust oak floor, are designed to last for many trade fairs. Catering will only offer locally sourced food, and the company is offsetting the remaining carbon emissions by investing in a climate protection project.
“Working in conjunction with the company Atelier Türke in Balingen, [Germany], we have used the period during the corona pandemic to develop a resource-saving concept for our exhibition stands,” Traumann said.
Packaging equipment supplier Multivac creates products for the food, life science, healthcare and industrial sectors, and is based in Wolfertschwenden, Germany.
