700-THCX-600-MSL This large rotary batch mixer from Munson features a horizontal rotating vessel and is intended for blending abrasive materials for a number of applications, including plastics. It is constructed of carbon steel, and its proprietary mixing flights come with replaceable wear liners made of abrasion-resistant steel. Dual 60-horsepower drives power the rotating drum, which is supported by oversize trunnion rings. A stationary inlet and outlet at opposite sides of the vessel allow for hard connections to other equipment both upstream and downstream of the mixer.
What’s new? Size. The 700-THCX-600-MSL is Munson’s largest rotary batch mixer, with a usable capacity of 600 cubic feet.
Benefits Quick, uniform blending. The mixer can efficiently blend materials at anywhere between 100 percent and 15 percent of its rated batch capacity. It can create a uniform blend of abrasive materials in six to eight minutes, while imparting little to no shear, degradation or heat. Its flights eliminate the need to manually remove residual material by efficiently directing it toward and through a stationary, pneumatically actuated plug gate valve.
