Ascent Beckwood Corp.’s Ascent hydraulic presses are available in 21 different frame sizes, with nine different tonnage options producing from 30 tons to 500 tons of pressure. Optional electrically heated platens are available to adapt the presses to compression molding and composite forming applications. The presses are available with working areas ranging from 1.5 feet by 1.5 feet to 6 feet by 6 feet. The included control package offers temperature control, recipe handling and data acquisition.

Benefits Improved price and availability. The company said all frame sizes are pre-engineered, which can cut cost and lead times by 50 percent compared to custom presses. Each Ascent press is stress-tested using finite element analysis, and features a gib-guided frame, which provides precise ram guidance and long-term accuracy.
