The Plastics Industry Association and American Chemical Council announced three new members have achieved Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) blue status, exceeding the rigorous standards of the OCS program. The members are BASF, Florham Park, N.J.; DuPont, Wilmington, Del.; and Eastman, Kingsport, Tenn. Companies that achieve blue status must demonstrate their commitment to preventing plastic from entering the environment, conduct site audits and take other steps such as improving equipment and procedures at their facilities.

OCS has been promoted by the plastics industry for more than 25 years to help prevent plastic resin loss.
