Primus Wittmann provides the linear robots in this series for pick-and-place applications. The first models in the series for injection molding machines with a clamping force of up to 250 tons have a payload range from 4 pounds to about 11 pounds. As standard, they are equipped with a SmartRemoval function to reduce removal time and overall cycle time.

What’s new? A bigger model, the Primus 118, which Wittmann displayed at the K show. It comes in a range of load capacities, from about 13 pounds to nearly 18 pounds, and can be flexibly installed on different models and sizes of injection molding machines — even existing equipment — with up to 250 tons in clamping force. Featuring stronger demolding and vertical axes, as well as more powerful drive systems, the robots have up to 10 valve slots, and up to eight vacuum circuits are possible.

Benefits Ease of use, cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
