Dec. 1, 2019
The MA-5 QC can check the color harmony of parts with metallic or pearlescent effects; it's also faster, lighter and more compact than other devices on the market.

MA-5 QC X-Rite Pantone’s multi-angle spectrophotometer is designed for one-handed use and captures measurements in less than 2.5 seconds. It has indicator lights that let the operator know the unit is properly positioned.

What’s new? Temperature gauging. The company says this is the first device with an on-screen temperature preview that can determine how the sample’s temperature may affect color data.

Benefits Performance. The MA-5 QC can check the color harmony of products with complex finishes, including metallic or pearlescent effects. The company says it is 60 percent faster, 50 percent lighter and 40 percent more compact than any other five-angle device on the market. It enables quality control managers to identify color defects early in the process, avoiding unnecessary rework.
