VersaMix Charles Ross & Son’s VersaMix line of multi-shaft mixers can be used by plastics processors for mixing polymer dispersions, plastic suspensions, filled resins and other materials. The VersaMix line has mixers ranging in size from laboratory models to production units that can hold 2,000 gallons.

What’s new? The VMC-40 mixer, which has a 40-gallon capacity. It features the company’s SLIM (solids/liquid injection manifold) technology, which creates negative pressure behind the rotor and draws powder ingredients into a high-shear zone, then quickly disperses the mixture.

Benefits Efficient wet-out of challenging powders. The SLIM technology mixes low-surface-energy powders well, without creating the lumps or fluctuations in viscosity that can occur when powders are added too quickly or too slowly.
