RY series Electric wire rope hoists in this line from Harrington Hoists feature ultra-low-headroom trolleys and an H4 duty rating for high-volume handling of heavy loads. Available in 3-ton and 5-ton capacities, the hoists are suited for moving injection molds, handling large plastic components, lifting bags of resin pellets and a wide variety of other manufacturing and warehousing tasks. For efficiency, the hoists can operate at 1.5 times their standard high speed when moving loads that weigh less than 25 percent of capacity.
What’s new? The RY series, which became available in May. Also new is their standard dual-speed variable frequency drive (VFD) control for both the hoist and trolley.
Benefits Safety, reliability and performance. The high-performance pull-rotor motor brake is durable, with no brake coil to fail like with conventional disc brakes. The hoists have a premium wire rope and a 360-degree rope guide that keeps the rope securely in the groove on the drum. Additionally, the VFD control provides a soft start that minimizes load swing.
