Zahoransky, a manufacturer of injection molding, automation and other technologies based in Freiburg, Germany, will make changes to its executive board in a “generational change.”
On Dec. 1, Dr.-Ing. Heinrich Sielemann will be appointed to the board for the Technical Division and become chief technical officer. Ric Nachtmann will join the company as chief financial officer on Jan. 1.
Sielemann was most recently president of the IWK Group, a manufacturer and system provider of tube filling and packaging lines. He has had a 28-year career in mechanical and plant engineering, holding various management positions.
Nachtmann comes from the ProMinent Group in Heidelberg, a manufacturer of metering and water treatment technology, where he was chief finance officer. He has more than 20 years of experience in finance and controlling.
Ulrich Zahoransky will move to the Supervisory Board after a transition period. Winfried Ebner will advise Sielemann, particularly in the areas of technology and patent issues, while remaining as managing director of the subsidiary Zahoransky Automation & Molds GmbH.
As part of its comprehensive strategic development plan, initiated in 2023, the company plans to expand its medical technology business unit, leveraging its experience in the fields of machine and mold construction, plastics technology and automation. It also aims to strengthen its position in molds and tufting machines for oral care, brushes and brooms.
“With the appointment of Dr. Heinrich Sielemann and Ric Nachtmann, we for the first time have an executive board that does not include any members of our family – that is a major change,” said Ulrich Zahoransky. “Nevertheless, we want to remain a family business and, as a family, we fully support our company.”
