Injection molding machines (IMMs) Boy Machines’ IMMs range from the ultra-small, 6.9-ton XXS, to the 137.5-ton 125 E. The company touts their precision, compact size, stingy energy consumption, compliance with clean-room requirements and ease of integration with peripheral equipment.
What’s new? Availability of an optional electromechanical ejector system, a replacement for the hydraulic ejector system, on horizontal IMMs that operate with Boy Machines’ Alpha 6 controller. It is mounted on the moveable platen. At NPE, a Boy 60E hybrid with electromechanical drive units for injection, dosing and the ejection system made closure caps for reusable lids produced in parallel on a Boy 125E.
Benefits The ability to eject parts on the fly, even those made during fast cycles. The ejector can move simultaneously with an LR5 robot from Boy Machines, allowing precise part handoff.
