NPE Booth W223
CapWatcher Q-Line Intravis’ CapWatcher Q-Line can provide 360-degree inspection of closures. It features star wheels specially adapted to handling closures. It provides gentle handling that won’t damage closures, guiding them without exerting any friction, or causing deformation, abrasion or contamination – even at highest speeds. The system also provides non-contact microhole inspection that prevents defective closures from reaching the consumer. While Intravis’ booth is S15063, the CapWatcher Q-Line will be on display at Netstal’s booth, in cooperation with Netstal Maschinen AG, Näfels, Swtizerland, and PackSys Global AG, Rüti, Switzerland.
What’s new? Increased speed. While Intravis’ previous benchmark was 60 caps per second, the updated system has reached 80 caps per second.
Benefits Faster inspections. The company said its updated system has been used as part of the fastest closure production lines in the world. The CapWatcher Q-Line also provides specially developed illumination technology and machine-learning algorithms for outstanding cavity number reading and in-depth analysis. The system’s temperature measurement abilities allow users to draw conclusions about the shrinkage behavior of closures for a precise capping process. These capabilities optimize predictive maintenance and help boost efficiency and economical production. Also, the non-contact microhole inspection functionality is a safer alternative to the common inspection method involving high-voltage electrodes.
