NPE Booth W2401
FWX series This Nissei America series of mid- to large-size low-pressure hybrid injection molding machines (IMMs) comes in six tonnages, from 309 tons to 1,439 tons.
What’s new? The series, with machines boasting a new compound clamping unit and an extra-wide platen. At NPE, a 309-ton FWX760Ⅲ-130B Type will be on display; the “B” in its name denotes that it has a new, shorter injection unit.
Benefits Compact size. Nissei America has designed the machines to accommodate larger molds than comparable small-footprint machines can handle. The company’s patented low-pressure molding system, called N-Sapli, allows users to make one or two parts per cycle that are bigger than those produced by similarly sized presses. The FWX760Ⅲ-130B Type will demonstrate this capability by molding textured PP trays on a two-cavity mold — a process and product that would normally require about 660 tons of clamping force. With the low-pressure system, the application will require only about 240 tons of clamping force. The process also results in superior surface finish.
