Rosti North America has opened a digital innovation lab within its Germantown, Wis., manufacturing facility.
Created with a $1.3 million investment, the latest facility joins sister labs in Asia and Europe, which Rosti said can streamline the production-quality prototype development process and bring products to market faster.
In its announcement, Rosti said this lab can make 72-hour turnarounds for new concepts. After customers provide 3D product data and specifications, digital simulations are developed to model potential gating, cooling, distortion and cycle times, and printed tool cavities and cores are developed using high-temperature resins.
Rosti North America is a division of global injection molder and contract manufacturer Rosti Group, which is headquartered in Malmö, Sweden.
