Engel announced that effective Oct. 17, Vanessa Malena, who previously served as COO of Engel Machinery Inc., York, Pa., will become president of the company’s North American headquarters.
Malena first came to Engel North America in 2017, serving as key account manager. She then became a regional VP of sales, and in 2021 she was appointed to the management board as COO responsible for after-sales support, engineering, purchasing and automation.
In her new role as president of the subsidiary of the Schwertberg, Austria-based manufacturer of injection molding machines, she will head the management team of Engel Machinery Inc. and continue its strategic development. She takes the reins from Mark Sankovitch, who will remain regional president of Engel in North America.
