Arburg’s rallying cry for K 2022 will be “There is only a Plan A” — a statement meant to convey the company’s commitment to resource conservation, the circular economy and carbon reduction.

Among its displays at the show, Arburg will highlight its arburgXworld (aXw) family of products aimed at the digitalization of plastics processing. Two cells will feature its aXw Control RecyclatePilot, which ensures a stable shot weight by means of adaptive process control. The aXw Control RecyclatePilot is the newest addition to Arburg’s Recyclate Package, which is a suite of smart process control modules that improve flexibility and reliability when processing recycled materials.

In the first cell, an electric Allrounder 470 A running the Recyclate Package and aXw Control RecyclatePilot will use post-consumer recycled PP to produce toolbox handles. Along with housing halves produced in another cell on the show floor and other components that were pre-manufactured at Arburg’s Lossburg location, the handles will be assembled into high-quality toolboxes that will be given to trade fair visitors.

The second cell to employ aXw Control RecyclatePilot will feature an electric Allrounder 370 A producing anchors that can be used to help attach items to concrete or brick walls. The anchors are made of PA6.10, which consists of 50 percent renewable raw materials, and the sprue produced on the floor will be run through a mill, with the post-industrial recycled regrind fed directly into the process. Arburg will display technologies related to the circular economy at Hall 13/A13-1 – B13.
