Calypso Zeiss’ Calypso software allows users improved control and automation for all of the company’s coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and sensors, which can be used by mold makers and plastics processors for quality control, as well as component design.
What’s new? Calypso 2022. The newest update to the software provides a host of improvements and new abilities, including automatic display of out-of-tolerance features in the interactive CAD view. It debuts the ability to use the product manufacturing information, or PMI, integrated in CAD data to create measurement programs automatically.
Benefits Increased productivity. When used with an optical CMM system, Zeiss’ Calypso might measure 1,000 holes in 10 minutes, but manual evaluation of the measurement logs would take much longer. Calypso 2022 automates this step, automatically displaying detailed information on detected defects in the measurement report for a substantial time savings.
