Haitian International Holdings Ltd. reported record sales for 2021 that topped $2.5 billion, a 35.7 percent increase over its 2020 results.
The Ningbo, China-based manufacturer of injection molding machines said total machine sales topped 56,000 units for the year, an all-time high for the company. For the first time ever, it reached annual exports of more than 10,000 units, with total overseas sales reaching $775 million — a 40.1 percent increase over 2020.
The company’s top-selling Mars Series presses reached $1.7 billion in sales for the year, a year-on-year increase of 33.2 percent. Its Zhafir Electrical Series saw 44.3 percent year-on-year sales growth for a value of $326 million, while its two-platen Jupiter Series rose to about $317 million, a 54.8 percent increase.
Looking to the future, Haitian said it will open a second headquarters in Shunde, South China, which is expected to begin trial production in the second half of this year. To address high logistical costs, the company said it will continue to develop overseas regional headquarters and expand overseas assembly and trade-oriented factories to localize production worldwide.
