Robotiq palletizer is simple to operate

The PE Series palletizer integrates with Universal Robots cobots.

PE Series Once customers select the model of Universal Robots cobot that matches their palletizing requirements, Robotiq’s PE Series palletizer can supply the rest. The PE Series ships with all of the necessary hardware and software to begin operation quickly. It includes sensors that detect pallets and the boxes coming in on a conveyor, as well as tower lights that alert workers when pallets need to be changed and indicate the cell’s status. Robotiq’s website has a configurator that lets potential customers enter information such as box size and pallet dimensions to see if its PE Series or original AX Series can meet their needs, as well as choose a cobot model that fits the application. Depending on required speeds, additional safeguards may not be necessary.

What’s new? The PE Series, which is a more basic and affordable version of Robotiq’s AX Series. The pedestal height of the PE Series requires manual adjustment.

Benefits Simplified operation. Users need only enter box dimensions and weight, pallet dimensions and the desired pattern boxes should be loaded onto the pallet, and the same software used on Robotiq’s AX Series optimizes all trajectories and robot motions so operation can begin immediately. The software includes flexible features, including depalletizing, the ability to pick up where it left off when palletizing is interrupted and the ability to adjust to changes in box counts (for example, if boxes are removed for quality control purposes). The PE Series has a compact footprint, and can be used in multiple locations without requiring permanent infrastructure modifications. The PE Series works with all ISO-certified pallet sizes.
