Vision Engineering's VE Cam can be used to inspect plastic parts, molds, dies and any type of tooling.

VE Cam This compact digital microscope from Vision Engineering is well-suited to perform visual quality inspections such as searching for defects, burr inspection and checking the finish of a wide range of objects. It can be used to inspect plastic parts, molds, dies and any type of tooling. It is a standalone unit that doesn’t require a PC, keyboard or mouse, and users can define one-click operations that are optimized for different tasks. It is available in two models — the VE Cam 50 with a 50mm field of view, and the VE Cam 80 with an 80mm field of view.

What’s new? The VE Cam, which made its North American debut in January. It introduces several new features, including wireless connectivity, a customizable user interface and more image-capture options, such as saving to internal memory or a USB drive.

Benefits Ease of use and affordability. Inspecting different regions of an object is as simple as moving a finger across the touchscreen. The VE Cam has an 8MP camera and a WiFi image mirroring feature that lets live images be shared with colleagues and supervisors on smart devices and displays without interrupting workflow.
