Datacolor app takes color quality control into the cloud

CloudQC Viewer Datacolor’s CloudQC Viewer is targeted at professionals responsible for color development and quality control within the plastics industry, as well as those involved in markets such as textiles, paint and coatings. The software-as-a-service (SaaS) application allows users to evaluate digital color samples from anywhere at any time.  

What’s new? CloudQC Viewer, part of Datacolor’s digital cloud platform, which is now available for free as a beta version. The software can import QTX color files, display color patches and colorimetric data, and allows users to collaborate with others on evaluation results. For example, molders of automotive parts, home goods, appliances and other retail products can use QTX files to seek color approvals from brand owners. Future releases will include features like data storage and device connectivity.  

Benefits The ability to work remotely. The user-friendly software gives color professionals, even those who have no digital color-management processes in place, the freedom to do their jobs from anywhere.
