Asaclean's concentrated purging compound saves on shipping, storage costs

Plus Grade Asaclean’s Plus Grade is a heat-activated purging concentrate that is mixed into processors’ everyday production resins. It is especially suited for cleaning dies, hot runners, high-cavitation tooling and blow molding equipment, but is also appropriate for screw and barrel cleaning, on-the-fly color/material changeovers and contamination removal. The concentrate is compatible with a wide range of resins and allows users to tailor its purging power by changing the ratio of concentrate to resin. Its processing temperature range is from 345 degrees Fahrenheit to 680 degrees Fahrenheit.  

What’s new? Plus Grade, which is the company’s first purging concentrate. It provides the same performance as Asaclean’s other purging compounds, but in concentrated form. Available in 55-pound boxes, the pelletized concentrate is typically mixed into resin at a ratio of 20 percent.  

Benefits Ease of use. Because it is mixed with production resins, there is no need to change materials or processing temperatures when purging. Additionally, because it is concentrated, shipping and storage are more economical.
