Bunting Magnetics Co. has acquired U.K.-based MagDev Ltd., a manufacturer of magnets and magnetic assemblies. Bunting said this move will help it expand the products and expertise it is able to offer globally.
Simon Ayling, Bunting’s European managing director, said “The acquisition of MagDev expands our range of magnetic solutions, especially in relation to soft magnet materials. … The addition of the MagDev products and, more importantly, the technical team, significantly expands our magnet knowledge and capability. This is an exciting development enforcing Bunting’s position as the leading designer and supplier of magnets, magnetic components and magnetizing equipment.”
Headquartered in Newton, Kan., Bunting designs and manufactures magnetic separation, detection and materials-handling equipment.
