ROEQ module, cart boost payloads for large MiR robots

Nov. 10, 2021
The TMS-C1500 top module and the S-Cart1500W shelf cart work together to increase the capacities of MiR’s robots to as much as 3,307 pounds.

AMRs Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) from Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) can be customized with a variety of top modules suited to specific tasks. The AMRs can handle manufacturing companies’ internal logistics tasks, such as collecting and delivering raw materials, scrap or finished parts.

What’s new? The TMS-C1500 top module and the S-Cart1500W shelf cart from ROEQ, which work together to significantly boost the payload capacities of MiR’s larger robot models, the MiR500, MiR600, MiR1000 and MiR1350. The MiR500 and MiR600 robots, which normally can transport 1,102 pounds and 1,323 pounds, respectively, can move an S-Cart1500W loaded with up to 1,764 pounds when outfitted with the new top module. With the new module/cart combination, payloads top out at 3,307 pounds for the MiR1000 and MiR1350, which normally have capacities of 2,205 pounds and 2,976 pounds, respectively.

Benefits Enhanced productivity and cost savings. Using the TMS-C1500 eliminates the need for a docking station; this allows the AMR to pick up and drop off the shelf cart anywhere, ensuring that the AMR is never left idling while waiting to use a docking station. The new module and cart allow users to transport larger and heavier items without the expense of buying a larger AMR for a fast return on investment. Additionally, the cart, which has a cargo area larger than a standard pallet, features widely spaced wheels for stability and safe deployment.
