Reiloy USA announced that it has completed construction of a new 60,000-square-foot barrel manufacturing facility in Wichita, Kan. The new facility includes two electrically induced centrifugal casting lines, and using a proprietary casting process and alloy powder technology of its German parent company Reifenhauser, the company will be able to make the liners that are spun into the electrically heated barrel blanks. The new lines will allow Reiloy USA to produce more “just-in-time” inventory of blanks and barrels – including tungsten carbide barrel blanks — for its customers in the injection molding and extrusion markets.
