Setup can be completed quickly, by exposing the system to as few as 20 good samples of a product, with no defective samples required.
What’s new? Improved inspection of parts with shiny, highly reflective surfaces. The Gen. 2 has an array of LEDs that project light from varying directions and at different intensities. It takes multiple images of the part, then merges them to create a single, high-dynamic-range image that has no reflection. The Gen. 2 also has an improved ability to overcome challenges such as inspecting moving parts and parts on vibrating platforms, and it offers a shortened inspection time cycle, with the potential to inspect up to three parts per second.
Benefits Flexibility. While traditional machine vision systems require costly and time-consuming integration of multiple components that are then only optimized to inspect one specific part, the S70 Gen. 2 can inspect any number of products on the same location on the line. For example, when used with an injection molding machine producing short runs of multiple products, it can inspect each different product, regardless of when it was made.
