Fluke non-contact meters troubleshoot electrical problems

Using Fluke’s Field-Sense technology, the meters provide accurate voltage and current measurements; this data can be used to help design a preventive maintenance program.

377 FC and 378 FC Fluke’s non-contact clamp meters are appropriate for use by electricians and technicians in industrial settings. They measure voltage and current simultaneously without touching live wires.

What’s new? The 377 FC and 378 FC models. Using Fluke’s Field-Sense technology, the meters provide accurate voltage and current measurements via the clamp’s jaw. Users clip the black test lead to any electrical ground and put the clamp jaw around the conductor. The voltage and current values are displayed simultaneously on a dual screen. Additionally, measurements can be displayed on a smart phone and saved to the cloud through Fluke Connect software. With the software, users can remotely log and monitor measurements and track trends to pinpoint intermittent faults. This data can be used to help design a preventive maintenance program. The 378 FC is available for $849.99; the 377 FC costs $699.99.

Benefits Safety. Field-Sense technology makes testing faster and safer, all without touching a live conductor, minimizing the risk of electrical shock. Additionally, the 378 FC clamp meter automatically senses power-quality issues relating to current, voltage and power factor so that users can quickly determine if there is an upstream power supply problem or if downstream equipment is the source of any issues.
