Eco Conair’s air-cooled chillers are installed outside to provide chilled water to plastics processing equipment indoors. The Eco line consists of six models with cooling capacities ranging from 40 tons to 120 tons. They feature direct-drive hermetically sealed scroll compressors and dual refrigeration circuits with multiple compressors for built-in redundancy. The larger units — 80 tons of capacity and above — also incorporate independent process fluid circuits. A modular design allows multiple units to be connected to a single control interface. The chillers have a setpoint range from 20 degrees to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, which allows them to meet nearly any process temperature requirement with an accuracy of plus or minus 2 degrees Fahrenheit. A digital display shows all significant pressures and temperatures as well as performance trend charts for key operating conditions such as process fluid temperatures.

What’s new? The Eco line of chillers.

Benefits Operational flexibility and energy efficiency. The chillers, which have a high-efficiency brazed plate heat exchanger, are rugged enough to work efficiently under most ambient conditions, from minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit to 125 degrees Fahrenheit. Their scroll compressors are low maintenance and efficient. Variable-speed fan motors and dynamically controlled valves reduce noise and ensure efficient operation. Additionally, the Eco chillers’ modular design means it is easy to add chilling capacity as needs change.
