RV-8CRL Mitsubishi Electric’s latest robot is suited for a wide variety of applications, including working in automation cells and with various types of manufacturing equipment. With a maximum load capacity of 17.6 pounds and a reach of 3 feet, it is capable of pick-and-place, quality-inspection, machining, loading and unloading tasks. It has a minimal footprint and a simple, compact design. The robot’s signal wires and air lines used for gripper control are built-in from the base to the arm; both ends of the signal wire have universal D-Sub connectors for easy installation.

What’s new? The RV-8CRL.

Benefits Affordability and versatility. Mitsubishi eliminated the need for battery backup on the robot’s internal encoders, reducing the robot’s cost and eliminating the risk of losing the origin coordinates due to battery failure. Additionally, the RV-8CRL has predictive maintenance functions built into its software.
