NCR-25 BinMaster’s latest non-contact level sensor uses radar to measure liquids in vessels such as mixing and storage tanks up to 114 feet tall. It is suited for free-flowing liquids such as water, fuels and oils, as well as colorants, plasticizers and other liquid additives for plastics manufacturing. The device works by directing short radar pulses to the surface of a liquid, which reflects the signals to the sensor. The sensor’s electronics then calculate the level based on the time it takes for the signal to return. Three types of housings are available for the NCR-25: aluminum, plastic and stainless steel. Several sizes of mounting flange are also available, as well as a high-temperature seal that can accommodate environments with temperatures of up to 899 degrees Fahrenheit. The sensor is compatible with the company’s Binventory software and BinView web application for data monitoring on phones, tablets and PCs.
What’s new? The level sensor, which came out late last year.
Benefits Fast, precise measurement, even in difficult processing conditions and high temperatures and pressures.
