GXH This new configuration in KraussMaffei's hydro-mechanical two-platen GX line of modular injection presses has horizontally arranged parallel injection units for multi-shot or multi-component molding.

What's new? Two or more injection units can be arranged in parallel. With this design, the melt is guided directly into the mold half, reducing dead corners in the hot runner. Late last year at Fakuma, KM introduced the GXH along with two other new GX Series configurations for multi-shot or multi-component molding: the GXL, with the additional injection unit positioned laterally, and the GXV, with the second injection unit positioned vertically in relation to the main injection device. GX Series clamp forces range from 440 to 990 tons.

Benefits A space-saving design and simplified mold design for products such as technical and optical vehicle components and two-part screw caps for packaging. Equipped with KM's GearX locking mechanism and GuideX guide shoe, the GXH offers fast cycle times with minimal energy consumption. The integrated turntable and servo electric provide fast rotations, parallel movement and precise positioning.
