Sumitomo Demag all-electric tackles thick walls

SE-EV-HD These high duty models of the SE-EV all-electric injection press series from Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery GmbH are designed for thicker-wall parts. The presses, manufactured in Japan, include the 180 metric ton model being shown at NPE, as well as 100 and 130 metric ton models.

What's new? The debut of the HD model to North America. The press offers longer and high pack and hold pressures for producing thick-wall parts and complex parts with a combination of thin and thick walls. Applications range from automotive, appliance and consumer products to other types of general purpose parts.

Benefits Energy efficient molding of general-purpose parts requiring high precision. Ideal for cycle times 15 seconds and up, with full pressure for up to 40 percent of the molding cycle while maintaining molding stability.
