Extrusion equipment manufacturer Davis-Standard has named Steve Andrews as its chairman and CEO. He had been serving as executive chairman of Davis-Standard’s board since early this year and replaces former CEO Giovanni Spitale.
“I am honored to lead Davis-Standard at such a pivotal time for the company. Our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction will continue to drive our strategy as we integrate our extrusion platform globally and expand our market reach,” Andrews said.
Before joining Davis-Standard, he served in leadership roles across a range of industrial end markets and international operating environments. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Briggs & Stratton, which builds engines for outdoor power equipment. He has also held CEO roles at other private equity-backed companies including International Equipment Solutions and Pettibone Group.
Davis-Standard is based in Pawcatuck, Conn., and is a company of Gamut Capital Management. It makes equipment under its own name, as well as the Maillefer, Battenfeld-Cincinnati, Exelliq and Simplas brands, among others.
