Exelliq Austria GmbH, the manufacturer of extruders, tooling and mixers for profile that had previously been known as Greiner Group, announced the addition of two new leaders in Austria and the U.S.
Wolfgang Degwerth was named the new managing director of Exelliq Austria GmbH in Nußbach, Austria, while Alfred Rak has been named president and CEO of Exelliq US Meadville Inc. in Meadville, Pa.
Earlier, the Greiner Group — which included Austria-based Greiner Group and U.S. division Greiner Extrusion — announced its new name, saying it enters the future stronger with a new name and modern branding, but it will retain its product portfolio and business relationships. The company, which produces a range of extruders, tooling and mixers for producing profile, has locations in Austria, Germany, France, England, Italy, the Czech Republic, India and the United States. Its sister company is battenfeld-cincinnati. Exelliq’s GPN subsidiaries in Germany and the Czech Republic will retain the GPN name and logo.
In addition to its Exelliq US Meadville Inc. in Meadville, Pa., locations, its U.S. locations include Exelliq US Ramsey Inc. in Ramsey, Minn.
Degwerth comes to his new position with 24 years of experience in the plastics industry, most recently for a leading international injection molding machinery group in the U.S.
Degworth said his first steps at Exelliq will be to get his footing. “I want to get to know the colleagues, the workflows and the processes in the company very well in order to understand the big picture. In change management, it is highly important for me to understand both the needs and the fears of the employees.”
Degworth added that he is inspired by the topics of digitalization, continuous optimization and sustainability.
Rak brings extensive international experience, particularly in the field of plastics processing machinery.
“In my first weeks, I will just listen and see how people are doing,” Rak said. “Subsequently, it will be about strengthening sales. The U.S. market is demanding more and more, and these need to be served accordingly. There will also be a reorientation of the service sector. The focus in all our activities will be on constant coordination and regular exchange – that’s the most important thing.”
